I already wrote about the release of a new reel from the Nel company earlier on the blog, for those who haven’t read — link here. Some comrades wondered how to correctly pronounce the name of the new reel? There is an analogy with the computer game War Thunder — which is often simply called «Tundra», the Nel Tundra coil sounds quite good. But of all the pronunciations of the word «Thunder» («Thunder» in English) I prefer the «Zander» option. In some places it is in tune with «Sonderkommando», haha, just like a Sonder command to knock out all the fields completely!
Now about the characteristics. About detection depth and selectivity will be written later, when we purchase a Zander coil for the new Garrett ACE 400i coin changer, and then we’ll check it, but regarding the weight of the coil there is very good and optimistic news — among their 14.5 inch «classmates» Nel Thunder turned out to be the easiest.
