Nokta Impact – review of the PRO kit (photos and videos+)

We, as a team, have been following the release of the new Turkish metal detector Nokta Impact for a long time. Back in 2015, when it was first announced that Nokta was starting work on a new metal detector that would have three frequencies and promised to show superior results, our ears perked up. Which is exactly what happened. Impact was released in 2017 and we wrote about the release of the new product: The Turks released Nokta Impact. For most people, Turkey is perceived as a beautiful resort, but now the resort has learned to make smart metal detectors. Anyway, let’s go.

My colleagues and I were choosing what was best to buy — std (standard) or PRO configuration. We settled on PRO because the difference turned out to be small, and was easily covered by the price of one coil of the IM19 sniper rifle, but the kit is large and pays for itself 100%! So, the package has arrived.

Beautiful box. Everything is as it should be — with a description of all the advantages and functions. A beautiful box is already a big guarantee of success for the subsequent sale of the device, if you suddenly need to update the machine in a couple of years. (The main thing is to save the box!)

There was a bag in the box. With a convenient carrying handle, which was used to remove the bag from the box! A good start, what’s next?)

The bag itself. I’ll tell you about the bag right away — comfortable, there is a carrying handle on top, and there are straps on the back to hang it on your shoulders like a backpack. Comfortable. You can put a lot of useful things in the bag, it fits a metal detector (disassembled) and there is enough space for two coils, batteries, you can also put a bottle of water, sandwiches, walkie-talkies, a camera, a bag for finds with a pinpointer. Everything fits!

Everything in the bag is neatly packed and beautifully folded. I think that once you unpack it once, you won’t be able to fold it like that every time. But there’s no need, the bag is now ours and we are free to do whatever we want with it. Some people, apparently who don’t have enough money for other bags, go to the gym with Noct bags, but oh well, we’ll store a metal detector in this bag so that at any moment we can jump into the car and go to the cops! The main thing is to find a more interesting and promising place!

They even managed to attach a bipod for a metal detector and a middle rod on top of the bag. Good use of space, though!

And here is the kit itself. What does it include?

— Coils included:

11″ Χ 7″ ( 27.94cm Χ 17.78cm ),
7.5″ x 4″ (17.78cm x 10.16cm),

Extra coils are very useful! In fact, because Impact is in a price class that is inaccessible to beginners, but an experienced treasure hunter will already be aware that two coils (universal and sniper) will already be able to cover the basic needs of the mine. Of course, I would like another coil for 13″, for example, but we will look…
— Instructions in Russian

Or in English, depending on what country you bought the metal detector in.
— Backpack

We wrote about the bag above. Convenient and good, everything you need for a cop fits into it, except that a shovel just won’t fit, but it’s better to keep the shovel separately — There will be fewer scratches and damage to the device.
— Protection for control unit
— Protection per battery pack

I haven’t gone to the cops for a long time without protection. Cases — This is very important for a metal detector that is not protected from water leakage. We don’t live in the Middle East; here it can rain and sun several times a day.
— Headphones

You’re digging without headphones? You’re losing your finds! I’ve been telling everyone about headphones for a long time that it’s better to dig with them on, because you’ll hear all the quietest signals and get finds that ordinary diggers without headphones missed.
— Coil protection

Actually — each reel has its own protection, you will be less worried that you will scratch or damage the reel when it hits a stone on a mine, for example.
— Set of accumulators/batteries 220/12V

Another saving. A normal set of batteries with charging costs about 15-25 euros.
— Charger
— Removable stop

They’re bipods. I’ll have to check their usefulness on a mine and evaluate them.
— Additional lower rod

Useful in case you break one, or it’s also convenient to keep each coil on its own rod, this will make it easier to change coils on the device!

— USB cable for firmware update

We assembled the device, ready for tests. But before that, let’s make a short video about the metal detector kit!

Important addition — The kit includes a cable, but it is inserted into the connector, which is located directly in the battery compartment. You remove a couple of batteries and you can already connect the device to the metal detector and update the firmware. Main — update is free! About how to update — we will write in a separate post.

Video on the PRO kit

Yes, we already have the test results, we will post the video soon. The device is smart and good for coins and various small items. We’ll check the chains and rings further on the sea beach. I’ll give you all a shout out!

Nokta Impact — the expected new product of 2017 and on it we collect all the information here and only here. No fluff!
