Nokta/Makro – IWA 2018 news (Nokta Invenio, Anfibio, SimpleX and Scuba Pointer, photo+)

IWA 2018 has died down and we are writing news about this exhibition, which manufacturers showed what, what they boasted about and what plans they made for the next years. This time we’ll tell you about the company Nokta/Makro Detectors, which, in addition to working prototypes, brought a number of non-functional prototypes to show what they are working on and what will come of it in the end.

The company’s stand was quite large and decorated with various posters and signs. Along the wall were metal detectors, pinpointers and prototypes. In general, the dream of every digger — come up and touch all this pleasure.

As you can see, not the entire line of metal detectors was brought, but only a small part of what the company has, mainly — new items from last year and the year before that we wrote about — this includes Makro Racer 2, Nokta Impact, as well as this year’s new product — Makro Kruzer series.

Nokta Invenio — new deep metal detector!

Perhaps, this development made the greatest impression on me. The body of the metal detector is from Nokta Impact, but here is the filling and block — This is where the fun stuff happens.

The new product allows you to determine the shape of an object, its depth, and the size of the object with an accuracy of up to 85%! It also produces a complete three-dimensional picture of the location of objects. Examples are shown on the poster — the letters NOKTA completely repeat on the screen the objects made of iron reinforcement that were laid out in the form of letters.

It is quite expected that the accuracy of the determination will decrease with increasing depth, but the demonstration of capabilities itself is amazing! Interestingly, Invenio also discriminates against — red colors show black iron according to VDI up to 20, and everything above 20 and up to 99 — non-ferrous metals are shown in yellow and its tones.

Which suggests that the technology is based on VLF and the depth will be standard for metal detectors working on this technology. But the main thing here is the display of the object located under the coil.

And the metal detector copes with this perfectly.

Video from the manufacturer:

Also, the Invenio deep metal detector also has a normal search mode, where on the screen you see the entire coverage area of the coil swing and the found object in the ground will be shown in the corresponding color:

In this case, it is red.

How it works? It’s simple — you turn on the signal analysis mode (I don’t know what it’s actually called yet), move the coil over a certain search area, then press the «Analyze» button. and after 20 seconds you get a completely finished 3D image, which shows all the metal objects, their appearance, their shape, size, depth, metal composition and other data. It seems that the future has arrived and this will make life much easier for many archaeologists, because now it will be much easier to decide which signal to dig up and which not, and what context these signals carry.

You’re impressed? I checked. He asked to put a coin (2 euros) next to the object and see what would happen in this case — the device perfectly showed the letter T and a coin measuring approximately 2 cm (size of a 2 euro coin) and a depth of 14 cm. I also asked to demonstrate various complex objects, for example the letter O, and Invenio very well displays a large piece of iron fittings in the shape of a letter O. Progress!

As seen in the photo above — The pro package comes with additional batteries and coils, as well as a discharge for more convenient operation. Yes, I haven’t seen a better device for knocking out trash cans yet!

Nokta Anfibio — new universal metal detector

Also among the prototypes was a completely functional prototype of the Nokta Anfibio metal detector.

A kind of mixture of the Nokta Impact metal detector and the Makro Multi Kruzer. But as you can see in the screenshot — More search modes have been added and the settings system itself is more complex than in Macro Cruiser.

Besides — Judging by the name, the model is waterproof, like the Macro Cruiser series. When will it be available on the market and what is — There is no data yet, but judging by the finished prototype — will be very soon. 😉

Nokta Scuba Pointer

New — It’s still a non-functional prototype, but making such a pinpointer won’t be too difficult. It will be especially interesting for beachgoers and underwater searching, because with such a pinpointer you don’t even need a metal detector; it will be enough to move a small coil in the water and pull out a find that lies shallow.

As far as I heard, several manufacturers want to release a similar pinpointer, so the winner will be the one who is the first to enter the market with such a pinpointer among the famous manufacturers!

Nokta SimpleX

And this is a completely new product — a non-functional prototype was also shown, but the direction of the Nokta/Macro company in development is clear, look at the photo:

A simple metal detector, with a compact rod, a small coil, with a self-explanatory name — This all suggests that the metal detector will be for beginners, in a very budget price class. And to make it stand out from its competitors, it is quite possible that this metal detector will be waterproof. Interesting twist, really? 😉

Such new products were shown by Nokta/Makro at the IWA 2018 exhibition in Germany. We are waiting for them to appear on the market!
