XP Detectors stole patented technology from Minelab? A big deal is coming!

The digging season is ending not only for diggers, but also for metal detector manufacturers. For them, this is the time to roll out new products, begin to correct past innovations and develop new technologies and systems. But they do not stop understanding each other so that none of the parties starts taking other people’s developments, on which fabulous sums were spent, especially when it comes to the company Minelab, the famous manufacturer of metal detectors. And if earlier we heard about different Chinese copying systems from the American company First Texas Products — Deteknix Quest detectors – another Chinese fake?, now in the battle of manufacturers for primacy in patenting new technologies, an Australian and a Frenchman, cultured Gentlemen, have fought!

The essence of the story: October 19th Minelab Electronics filed a lawsuit against the French company XP Detectors and their overseas partner, the Massachusetts company Detector Electronics Corp. Minelab accuses the French and their partners of infringing and copying a function that is part of a patent owned by Minelab and, as Minelab assures, such an action entails losses and unnecessary business expenses for the latter. Naturally, the Australians are asking to cover the costs and pay compensation along with legal fees.

Their season is in full swing. 🙂 I’m only interested in what the French were able to violate and how much this will affect the production of the XP Deus «divine» metal detector. and updating it to version 4.0. What if it turns out that Deus will no longer be produced and they will be banned, an interesting option! 😉

Actually, proof of the news is here.

Comrades, what remains for us? Just watch, there is nothing to be surprised here, two giants are fighting for our money, in fact. Good luck and subscribe to my newsletter to always be aware of new blog posts, it will be even more interesting!
