Finding a “saffron milk cap” – a gold Ancient Roman coin! (photo+)
Even though many people say that everything has already been knocked out everywhere, I don’t believe it. On the one hand, this is true, on the other hand, there are still many places where life was once seething and people lost coins, buried their property and hid jewelry. Everything can be found and picked up with a metal detector.
The usual story – a guy from the UK, Harry M. (name not changed), was walking around a large British field with his Garrett AT PRO metal detector with a NEL Tornado coil (great for wandering around fields – wide coverage and excellent depth!). Got a signal. He dug, pinned and pulled out such a beautiful saffron milk cap! Happiness knew no bounds!
Naturally, I would rejoice at such a find and remember it all my life. Have you raised this?
No fluff on the cops!
