Makro Racer 2 – review of a new metal detector from Turkish developers (photos, videos and useful settings!)

Makro Racer became quite widespread in our countries of the former USSR, but had some shortcomings that were solved and the new detector, having received several additional features and options, was released by the manufacturer Makro, and let me remind you that they are based in Turkey, in 2016. New and even hot!

I decided to collect everything you need to know about this device in one article. Everyone has already seen the instrument panel of Makro Racer 2? The black segment is now from 0-10, but the color segment has become much wider — 10-99, there is room to roam in determining the type of metals in the field.

Quite an interesting set of settings. A real semi-professional, and considering that an LED flashlight is also installed and vibration is available in the device — a good machine for different types of searches, especially when a comrade wants to go unnoticed by everyone. Well, you understand what I mean, yes?

Yes, the device has learned to save settings. This was one of the improvements, but what else was added «under the hood»? Everything is quite simple — discrimination has been updated, the Notch Filter function has been added (we can cut off the discrimination scale to cut off all unnecessary signals), Iron Audio, a new iSAT function, as well as depth mode — quite deep, like in Nokta Fors Relic, probably?

A little about the depth mode and air test of the Makro Racer 2 device. It sees targets quite well, but this is through the air. The new digging season will put everything in its place. Let’s see:

And as usual, the device comes in two trim levels, standard and PRO. The PRO package is more interesting, because it already contains everything an ordinary digger needs, right down to different coils and even rechargeable batteries with charging.
