The trial of Minelab and XP Detectors – what news? Looks like someone is having a hard time! (Heat!)
It seems that someone is having a very hard time in the new season. Minelab is slowly suing XP Detectors and it seems that they are having some success in this matter. I recently found a document in which a judge of one of the American states issues a small resolution — XP Detectors appealed Minelab’s claims to use their patented technology, but the court rejected them.
Link to document here.
And it looks like Minelab is winning so far. But how will it end? Intermediate results may be positive, but the final result is unknown. In general, ideally, the matter would be resolved peacefully, the French and Australians make good metal detectors, each has its own profile, its own part of the market, why fight over new technologies? Of course, everyone wants to be pioneers and have a certain monopoly on the market, but Minelab has so many monopolies and original technologies! At the very least, it would be more convenient for every digger if there were world peace — both among diggers and archaeologists, and among Minelab and XP Detectors. We’re all doing the same thing — Let’s save history. 🙂 Good luck!
