There are some constants in the world of metal detecting. These are yellow ICQs, the color of which will not change, and there is no point. And multi-frequency Mainlab devices, and these are the Bulgarian Golden Mask metal detectors, which always look the same – the same rod, the same body, the same battery compartment for 8 batteries under the armrest of the device.
Therefore, welcome the new Golden Mask version 6!
Golden Mask devices are always similar to each other and, in part, this is correct; if there are already ready-made rods, housings, compartments, then there is no need to come up with an innovation. On the other hand, now that the pursuit of new models of metal detectors has begun to resemble a “rat race” – periodically, even once every 5-7 years, you need to install something new, for example, redo the power system, perhaps? Of the 8 batteries, leave at least six, no, four is better!
Separately, I’m very pleased with the new reel from Golden Mask – Fighter S 13×11″ . It can be seen that this is a redesigned Fighter reel, which was previously produced by the manufacturer.
What is known about the device?
So far the following is known:
- Three switchable operating frequencies 5/15/30 kHz
- Four basic search programs – Coins, Relics, Gold, Beach (how they differ is still unknown)
- Updated threshold tone settings (added threshold tone)
- Added iron tone and iron volume settings
Prices are still unknown, but it is expected that the previous models of the Golden Mask 5+ SE series will become cheaper, and the new model will enter their price segment (500-600 euros retail).
