A discovery with mystical consequences (Competitive story of a digger!)
In order to find out new places to dig, I often search for information on the Internet. I was interested in an article about a once-existing old settlement that was submerged in a flood at the beginning of the 20th century. Having looked at the indicated place on the map, it turned out that it is located 10 kilometers from my village. The next day, I and my friend went to the indicated place. When we got there we saw the remains of the foundations. We set up our instruments and went in different directions. An hour later, neither I nor my friend had any finds yet. It seemed like there was no life here at all. I was already thinking about changing place, but at that time my friend called out to me, approaching him, I saw an old metal box in his hands, my friend was waiting for me to open it together. Having opened the box, we saw an old pectoral cross; it seemed that there was nothing special about this find if it were not for the events that happened after it.
Before we had time to drive away from the search site, our engine stalled, and all our efforts to control the car were in vain.
We had to walk to the highway and ask the drivers to take us in tow. My friend sent the car to an auto service center, but even there they could not find the cause of the breakdown. According to them, everything was fine. In the evening we began to inspect our metal detectors, but my friend’s didn’t even turn on. We tried everything, but the device was silent. We told our friend’s grandfather about our story, who immediately connected the reasons for these failures with our find and advised us to return it to its place. The next day, on my motorcycle, we took our find back to the place of yesterday's search. Leaving her there, we returned home; it was already quite late. In the morning we met in the garage and headed to the car service center. The masters threw up their hands and told us to take the car. A friend began to look for someone who would drag him on a cable, at this time I was sitting in a friend’s car and decided to try to turn the ignition key, to my surprise the car started. We returned home happy and hurried to the garage to check the metal detector, it turned on, but the VDI number was constantly jumping and it beeped at everything. A week later everything was back to normal. After this incident, my friend is afraid of such finds.
