Here is an excellent example of the famous type of bronze swords «Halstatt» (or Hallstadt) was sold at auction in January 2017 for $3560.
The discovery was made at a mine in the forest in the Khmelnitsky region of Ukraine. Similar bronze swords were popular throughout Europe in the 7th-3rd centuries BC, although it is relatively rare to come across such excellent preservation.
Halstatt — this is the area in modern Austria from where this type of bladed weapon is believed to have spread further. The sword was worn in a wooden sheath on a sling over the shoulder.
