When I bought my first detector from Garrett, after several outputs I wanted to get protection for the coil. And even though it cost 12 euros, I was a little sorry to give this money, but now I don’t notice this protection at all. It stands, protects the reel (and our soil is rocky & constant collisions with stones in the ground are guaranteed) and even though the dealer told me that I would lose 1-2 cm in depth, does anyone notice this depth when all our finds are located shallow? And the concept of depth in metal detector search is very vague.

I wonder what’s in there — hose or thick fabric? I still can’t figure it out. But duct tape and construction knots — this is all like something out of the ordinary «trust me, I am an engineer».
On one side — Probably such a collective farm will fulfill its function and the reel will sparkle and shine like new. But the color of the entire fabric will quickly be lost when water, soil and dirt stick to such protection.
