Enabling hot rocks discrimination can lead to missing deep targets. So it is not recommended to turn it on if there are not too many hot rocks around. It will be better to hear their signal and just separate it manually by RT signal.
If you discriminate them and you don’t hear them at all, you can also miss some deep targets.
