Detect settings menu -Frequency shift.mpg 2:42
The search frequency. The displayed frequency is the actual sensor frequency. The resonant frequency. Right now it is 12 thousand 9 hundred and 3 Hertz.
You can find yourself in a situation, when you are searching near power lines or another seacrhind device. And your device starts giving you phantom detections. Phantom signals. Created by interference coming from the power lines or another device. To leave the channel filled with interference, you can try to shift frequency up or down. So you can shift from, for example, from 12 thousand Hertz to 13 thousand Hertz or even more. And by doing so, avoid resonance.
Remember, that with shifting the frequency from the actual sensor frequency, you device sensitivity decreases. So if you are forced to change frequency because of an interference, and you find the level with no more interference, to restore sensitivity you can set Gain and ST parameters a little higher. To make it more clear, the actual frequency is displayed with black filling around it. So you can always easily find it while changing frequency setting. One more thing to remember: after changing frequency just one step, you need to go through ground balancing. If you don’t do it, the ground will cause phantom signals to appear. So it’s a simple rule: you change frequency, you do the ground balancing.
