Memo to a digger on identifying bayonets and bayonet knives of the USSR and RI
You found a bayonet and don’t know whose it is or where it came from? This is especially common for «military» (kopari in war), but quite often bayonets can be found in the field, in the garden, in old houses and attics. How did they get there? Quite often, the peasants themselves picked up battles or other «troubles» various useful household items. And no one would refuse free knives and bayonets; everything will be useful on the farm and in quite large quantities. Gradually, all this stuff was lost and then became the prey of our brothers in intelligence with instruments. So, a small reminder on how to identify a bayonet-knife and the bayonet itself:
