The final post about the IWA 2018 exhibition in Germany will be a topic about Minelab. No one else from metal detector manufacturers came to the exhibition, and therefore there is nothing more to write about.

Minelab came this year with a very large stand. I was able to visit them and talk with the team about future developments and the company’s plans to create new models of metal detectors directly for diggers from Russia and Europe. However, let’s start from the beginning.

MineLab’s stand was the largest stand in terms of size, larger than the Macro/Nokta or First Texas stand. But MineLab had not appeared at the exhibition for a couple of years, so they could afford such luxury.

Basically, all metal detectors and pinpointers in the MineLab line, devices for searching for gold, as well as models for searching for coins and relics were placed.

As you know — MineLab has some of the best gold prospecting devices.

Naturally, we couldn’t do without Minelab Equinox — new items for 2018!

In addition to metal detectors, wine and beer were poured at the MineLab stand and offered to all guests. As you can see — The company’s staff was mainly from Ireland, and therefore the choice of beer was completely obvious (it is not clear why there was no Guiness?).

There was also entertainment at the stand — you could put on virtual reality (VR) glasses and plunge into a virtual cop on any terrain, the choice was the beach, desert, field.

A picture of what a person with glasses sees was projected onto the screen. The metal detector showed different signals and a decision had to be made — to dig or not to dig.

The hand joystick acted as a paddle to accurately determine the location of the find.

Nothing was said about the news. MineLab does not like to reveal secrets and share them ahead of time, and what is currently happening within the company and is being developed — this is a big and open question!

No fluff on the cop.
