Opening the Garrett ATX. Photos
See the photo report: opening the Garrett ATX metal detector. The owner of this machine wished to change its appearance – to provide himself with a new shaft, another coil, and to insert the battery compartment as well as the control box into the metal housing.
All about the Garrett ATX metal detector is collected here (news, tests, videos, photos, opinions) and here (specifications, features, searchcoils, manual).

Good day, I also (a victim of advertising) bought garrett atx. Then many times it was reworked (it all started with a coil cable).
It was not accurate and killed the control processor.
Tell me, where can I buy a programmed processor m9s8as16 or a control board (the one in the handle) ??

Just read your post Ushelec, and you stated the cable killed the control processor. When the processor went out, did it just go blank, no audible, no LED’s or was it unnoticed.

The Garrett ATX is absolute rubbish. Coil cable split within 6months and very difficult and expensive to get spares! Garrett sales/support don’t even respond to e-mails! I can’t even sell this thing because I would be too embarrassed to even give it away!
