Recently, at a meeting with Vadim Rybakov (Doc), whom many diggers in Russia know, I had the pleasure and honor of watching the test and presentation of this new depth explorer from the Bulgarian company Golden Mask. Actually, Yuri Gagarin tells and shows everything correctly in his video, but I’ll add:
- Excellent deep dive for the price.
- Before you take a depth finder, you need to think «why do you need it?»
- What might a deep explorer be needed for? If during the war — then to quickly enlighten them on the position/trench/dugout.
- If you dig the old fashioned way — then having a suspicion that the coins found in the field are the plowed top of the treasure, you can easily find the very box with a bunch of coins. Believe — it is not so simple and most ordinary metal detectors will not notice it.
This, in a nutshell, is the main thoughts on the depth explorer. What I especially liked?
- Excellently customizable for different purposes — You can search for both large coins (Ekaterina’s nickels) and cut off all coins and search only for large objects (helmets, egg capsules, irons).
- Choice — here you have either a frame or a rod + reel.
I am more inclined to the rod + coil option, because in this form the metal detector requires only one operator. With a frame you need two — one carries the frame, and the second holds the block and monitors its readings. I often work alone and always carrying a second comrade is not always part of my plans.
To be honest, I even wanted one for myself, maybe I’ll get it ready by next year, I’ll try to look for different deep metals and capsules in promising places by position, I have ideas that they should be there.
