The Turks have released Nokta Impact – a new three-frequency metal detector (the price is quite reasonable, data, photos+)

Hello friends! When you heard about the name of the company Nokta before, what associations could arise? And who are they? And what do they do? Yes, they were known only to a narrow circle of small specialists who were interested in ground penetrating radars. However, now, with the release of the new metal detector Nokta Impact, many diggers will wonder what kind of company this is, Nokta, and what kind of device they released — Nokta Impact. It seems to me that over time the Nokta Impact will take its place as the main device for many diggers and at the word «Nokta» Now the «Impact» model will immediately come to mind. Why is this so?

Noct Impact Exit

Impact has been prepared for a long time. Previously, Nokta released the first trial models for the bulk of the digging community, then slightly updated the line and added Nokta Fors Core and Nokta Fors Gold, which we wrote about (just click on the model name to see all the posts about them), then the guys from Nokta released Nokta Fors Relic. A good device, we also wrote about it. But another year passed and Nokta released, perhaps, their main masterpiece for 2017. Admire:

What we have? A convenient wire inside the rod (now you don’t need to wrap the wire around the rod), a trigger under the block (believe me, after you walk around with the trigger on the Fisher F75, you will no longer want to look for other solutions, it’s very convenient!), bold appearance, very unusual for metal detectors. The presence of 3 frequencies is captivating: 5 kHz, 12 kHz and 20 kHz, which makes the device even more functional, the presence of a wireless module for headphones — you are still digging without headphones? Dig further — all finds will be mine!

Satisfied Impact tester from the Czech Republic. As we see — Additional coils have already been produced for the device. For example, this reel is 7.5″x4″, a very popular size for the beach, park or trash can. Additional bipods have also been invented for the Noct Impact, but why are they?

The device is water-permeable and the PRO kit includes covers for the unit and a battery pack under the armrest. Apparently the bipod was invented to prevent moisture from getting into the device when you lean over a hole and need to put the device on the ground. I don’t know how good this solution is, I’ve never tried it, time will tell and other diggers will decide for themselves whether the bipod will be in the topic or the guys from Noct will abandon them later?

Some nice tricks that are found in many Nokta devices are also present in Impact: backlight (LED flashlight built into the detector block), vibration — a good solution when there are no headphones, and it would be undesirable to turn up the volume at the detector.

The device is powered by 4 AA batteries (standard AA batteries), this miracle weighs 1.8 kg. Hope the balancing is ok, weight is equal to Minelab Safari.

One of the interesting goodies — firmware update, the fashion for which was set by the French guys with XP Detectors.

Search programs

As can be seen from the rendering of the picture detector control unit, Impact has 12 search programs: two statistical modes, two all metals modes (what is their difference? I don’t know yet), and eight other programs — as we see different discrimination programs (2 tones, 3 tones, 4 tones and 99 — polyphony), heavy soil mode (complex, for example, salty sand), depth mode (as on Makro Racer 2). < /p>

Ground Balance — manual, automatic and tracking mode.

VDI — indicators 0-40 are ferrous metals, and 40-99 are non-ferrous metals.

It seems that the Nokta company is seriously concerned about creating a universal metal detector for all tasks, which, at a very reasonable price (cheaper than Deus and 3030), would have everything a digger needs (several frequencies, different search modes, ground tracking etc.) and would become a full-fledged competitor for other market leaders, companies from the USA and Great Britain — Garrett, Fisher/Teknetics, Minelab. Whether they succeed or not, time will tell, and we will definitely write about it!
