Fischer in the dirt (case is current)

For me, the issue of a case for Fisher (my Fisher F75) became especially acute, because I dig in any weather, and my kit did not include this purely practical accessory. I received my covers through a friend of a craftsman who fixes such things at home and does not charge as much as the order from the Internet promised me.

Maybe, comrades, it’s nice to dig in the warmth on a dry lawn, but such joy doesn’t happen often, and the passion for digging makes you go out in the rain and slush. Once again, after such an outing this winter, after the thaw, I decided to show my «asshole» in anti-mud clothing.

I’ll admit right away that I found a joint in the case for the power supply. It does not stick well to the device, it clearly lacks additional fixation, moreover, it can easily fly off and get lost!

To prove that I was right, I looked at the options that manufacturers offer online. Here’s a good example — Teknetics case designed for Fisher F75. It has a top flap with Velcro, which firstly prevents moisture from entering from above during rain, and secondly, gives more fixation.

An alternative solution would be to throw the flap in front of the cover so that it rests on the bar up to the armrest. In this form, the case will definitely not be able to fly off the device. For clarity, here is a photo with the author’s red daub in Photoshop 😉

Otherwise, I have no more complaints about the case, but I haven’t been using it for very long. As far as you can see, it holds dirt well. I’ll show you some more photos «dirty» before washing. For those who want to get involved with sewing a cover themselves, I’m sure it will be useful to watch.
