History of the find (Competitive history of the digger)

I have long dreamed of buying myself a metal detector, but this thought remained only a dream. A guy got a job with us and in a conversation he mentioned that he was looking for coins, I started asking him what he found and where he went. He talked about old tracts, villages and abandoned houses, he had a device X-Terra 705. I began to imagine treasures and scatterings of coins in my head. On the same day he told me that his friend was selling X-Terra 305 and Fiskar. At that time, it cost 12,000 used, so I bought the device without hesitation. After waiting for the weekend, I called my colleague with the question, let’s go somewhere (it was November 2015), he said that the comrades were gathering in an abandoned wooden chopped barracks on the outskirts of the city, but you shouldn’t hope for something valuable and serious, they in the winter they go there periodically (to relieve winter withdrawal))), there are early tips and occasionally an empire, I said that in any case I will go, since I can’t wait until summer)). The next day, after a sleepless night waiting for a cop, we moved to the place. Almost 5 of us gathered, I met everyone, they looked at me with a grin, then I didn’t understand why)) Looking at their metal detectors – X-Terra 705, Safari, E-Trac with small (toy) coils, only later, remembering, I understood why they were smiling.

The barracks had 2 floors and 3 entrances (I never found out its history), having received instructions on how to carry out digging in abandoned houses, we scattered around the barracks, I chose a small apartment with a destroyed stove, walking around the perimeter I picked around the backfill, floorboards there were no longer any in all the rooms, signals began to fall under the coil, in the first hour I dug up several early tips and a couple of nails, the excitement grew, but after walking for another half an hour, only iron signals remained, and then I decided to dismantle a large pile of bricks from the stove, which blocked the entrance in the hallway area. Having thrown all the bricks into the corner, I began to ring the backfill under the bricks. Waving the coil, I didn’t understand at first, everything was ringing, that is, the square meter by meter was one big signal, at first I tried to pick up the signal using the pinpointer function, but I realized that it was useless, then I put the coil on its side and began to bring handfuls of fill to the coil, for an hour I dug through all the soil from this square, there were kopecks and kopeck pieces and three rubles and nickels and all the early tips, I even came across a fifty-kopeck piece with a hammer from 1924. There was no limit to my delight. We poked around until the evening. In the evening, while showing off my finds at the car, I proudly took out two handfuls of coins. They looked at me with respect and words — Newbies are lucky.

History of the find (Competitive history of the digger)

Already at home, sorting out my swag and looking at the prices for each coin in the catalog downloaded from the Internet, I could not believe my eyes when I looked at the 5 kopeck coin of 1933 . Even the hammer in all its silver glory paled in comparison to this rare coin. After a month, after soaking the coin a little in a soapy solution, I put it up at auction and sold it for 8,500 rubles. And I bought myself a sniper reel, with which I picked up more than 200 coins from old houses during the winter, but, unfortunately, not a single rare one of them was found (((
