Garrett AT PRO is probably one of the most popular metal detectors in the world. So many reviews and other materials have been written about it that I don’t see the point in doing a big review on this device, I’ll only tell you about some useful things for every digger:
As a semi-professional device and in its price class, this detector has occupied a special position. Easy to control, especially if you use the PRO mode, coupled with some of your own settings, set the discrimination level to 35, sensitivity to almost the maximum level, then you will definitely collect your 90% of all finds. A particularly important role here is played by rapid swings of the coil above the ground, because the slower you move the coil, the shallower the detection depth of the device will be. Thanks to the high frequency (high freq.), the device perfectly “catches” (note – I put the quotes myself, you can translate without quotes) various little things – chains, rings, as well as small coins, which is why the detector is loved by all lovers of searching on the beach.
Disadvantages: during assembly, especially if it is being done for the first time, you can break the rod mounts, most detectors are now made with mount twist limiters, but Garrett still does not want to solve this problem, as I did to them didn’t apply. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to insert the wire from the coil into the device block; if you do not tighten it completely, then false alarms are possible.
