One took the comrade — for him in camouflage, but for myself I took a monotonous one, so as not to stand out too much in the crowd if I’m going to the cops.
It seems — Any backpack is suitable for a cop, but no, there are some nuances here. This backpack was designed specifically for our needs and tasks, namely:
- You can put a folded or disassembled metal detector in your backpack (and it will fit, not even one — I fit 3 metal detectors!)
- The backpack holds a shovel — short Fiskars or any other alternative, for example — Black Ada
- There are side pockets and space for documents, papers, sandwiches, batteries and a thermos.
Otherwise — The backpack is made, although it is voluminous, but is not without its shortcomings. About them — further:
The straps are a little narrow. If we carry a completely stuffed backpack, our shoulders begin to ache and chafe. Especially if you have to cover a long distance on foot. One big BUT: the price of a backpack of the same volume, but with better materials, fittings and design, goes over $150. Example — Tasmanian Tiger, for example.
A run from home to the train, and then from the station to the field is quite enough; for long walks you need to take another backpack.
The lightning is a bit weak. It is clear that the designer and developer tried to meet the normal price, and this is due to the low cost of components. Zippers and locks require attention, but if you have the right hands, material and tools, you can always remake the zippers into something more sensible.
The backpack can be folded almost in half and secured with fastex. It is convenient if the shovel is small and the device is compact — the backpack will not stick out from behind the head, fewer questions will arise from others.
It is convenient that there is a carrying handle on the side. Why is it convenient? They put the device, a shovel and everything they needed, grabbed it not by the strap, but by the side handle, put it in the trunk and drove off. The devices are not visible, if they stop to check, then the bags are not always examined thoroughly, but this bag looks very ordinary. It is sewn quite well, it will hold, there is a margin of safety.
A small example of the content — the shovel sticks out because it’s long, and inside you can see the Minelab E-Trac metal detector. In addition to the Tractor, the Fisher F-70 and Golden Mask 5+ — One bag is enough for all the comrades, just put the shovels separately.
What confused me a little more? The backpack is tall, the police may have questions about the contents. Ask why? I would transport a carbine or other weapon in such a backpack, because it is also suitable for these purposes, and the police may have a similar mindset and draw appropriate conclusions. But otherwise — The backpack is good, the material is not bad, it’s worth the money. For something cooler, cooler and more convenient you have to pay ten times more.
