Search in a plowed field (+ silver!)

Recently I was walking through a plowed field and found silver. Came for «plowing» and found it after a couple of hours of walking through an open field. It was almost lying on the surface, I dug a little with a shovel and suddenly I saw the reflection of the rising sun from the coin. Beauty! So why do I like to walk along the “plow” ?

One of the main questions of any digger is “where to look?.” If you are a beginner and have just bought your first metal detector and are eager to try it out quickly, then I would recommend two places – a river/lake/sea beach and a plowed field in the spring, in the very beginning of the season. The process is quite simple – look on the map where your villages are located outside the city, look for an old map and look at that village on this map. You check the fields – whether they were on the old map and where they are located now? If the field is on the old map and upon arriving at the place you found the same field plowed, then we can only wish you good luck, you will definitely find your finds here. Even if several hundred colleagues with metal detectors have already run across the field, I assure you that it is 100% impossible to find and pull out anything; even in the most “knocked out” place you can find one or two coins. It happens!

You can walk for a long time in a plowed field. Finds usually lie very shallow, or even on the surface. People have been digging up the field for centuries, and therefore the finds move around the field and often remain on the very surface, or they are buried deep after plowing. Therefore, it’s good to come every spring to a couple of your proven ancient places in the fields, you are guaranteed to leave with finds after the walk. Usually the fields are large and walking through them is a pleasure.

Why people couldn’t find lost coins themselves? Very often, such coins stick to the ground and dirt, and therefore look like solid lumps that are not visible to the naked eye. Only with a detector in hand can you find what you lost.
