When the new Turkish metal detector Makro Racer came out, I was skeptical at first. How many manufacturers of metal detectors are there on our planet? They make them all and sundry. But after a few months, interesting reviews, videos, photo reports began to appear, and I started thinking about purchasing a Makro Racer. However, a year later, the Makro company made a «trick with its ears» and released a new version — Makro Racer 2, I read the changes, looked at the photo and decided that I needed to buy it. I didn’t see the point of taking Makro Racer for myself, but the updated version seemed even more interesting. 
Of course, I wanted a more serious device and with all possible options (except perhaps wireless headphones), so the choice fell on the pro package.
The kit included a lot of useful things:
Two lower rods, Koss headphones, standard coil and «sniper», spare set of fasteners and bolts for the coil, batteries, battery charger, car charger for the cigarette lighter (for battery charging), backpack and device covers. I would like to dwell a little on the backpack — I thought it was the most convenient backpack for a metal detector that has ever been produced by the MD manufacturer. Look at backpacks from other manufacturers — They are small and inconvenient; it is impossible to carry the device in them normally, because nothing fits in there. In the same backpack I could easily fit everything I needed for a cop, except maybe a shovel.
Naturally, I also needed a large RC40DD coil in the kit, which I had to order. Regular 15.5×13 DD coil, which fits two models — Racer and Racer 2.
A small sniper reel RC13 DD, 5×4.5 DD reel was already included in the kit. Suitable for especially «piquant» operations.
I don’t particularly use headphones on the mine, I like to listen to everything that happens next to me and behind me, but any device comes with headphones (usually) and Makro was no exception in this case, neat Koss headphones were included in the kit . Quite good, but completely unsuitable for our search conditions, they are more for those who walk and dig for coins on a golf course, where there is no dirt and everything is clean, good, ideal conditions. Koss — an American corporation that produces fairly high-quality headphones, so you can trust this brand.
Well, the grand total — Everything is packaged well and the set is quite nice. Do I need to overpay for it — It’s up to the diggers to decide, given that they’ll have to buy a larger reel in any case, but they can dig without it?
Soon I will post a review and photo report on the device, but for now — how Garrett tears up the MD region, it’s absolutely impossible to watch without grinning. 🙂 Good cop!
