“Cross” kopecks 1728-1729
It makes sense to look at this little penny in more detail. Not such a frequent guest under the reel and always pleasant to meet, especially if the save didn’t let us down.
These coins were minted at the Kadashevsky Mint in units of 40 rubles per pood of copper. There are a large number of varieties of stamps and a lot of differences in small details — font size, rider tilt, dragon shape, etc.
Nevertheless, in order to somehow navigate all this diversity, the main types were developed. There weren’t many of them — eight for kopecks of 1728 and three for kopecks of 1729.
