Video: 5 rubles 1818, Alexander the First Liberator (Gold coin from Monetos TV)
Alexander the First. Tsar Liberator and Tsar “Blessed”, as he was called in pre-revolutionary times. And so it really was! An outstanding ruler, diplomat and politician. He knew how to please everyone, but most of all he knew how to hold his own, the only position that he understood. Read the biography sometime, I recommend it.
The Emperor of France Napoleon the First called him “an inventive Byzantine”, “the Sphinx, not solved to the grave,” the poet and historian Pyotr Vyazemsky said about him.
During his reign, he managed to make friends and then beat Napoleon, travel all over Europe with his army, defeat Napoleon, expand the Russian Empire with new territories and lands (even Finland became part of the Empire under Alexander – to the delight of the residents of St. Petersburg who now go to Imatra for coffee ).
Do you know that Beethoven dedicated his work “Fur Elise” to the wife of Alexander the First, Elizaveta Alekseevna?
Actually, 5 gold rubles from 1818 can fall into the hands of digging and treasure hunters on the vast territory of the once Great Empire.
Are you digging for gold yet? Then watch the video, pick up a metal detector and go ahead – the coins are waiting somewhere. 🙂
